Sesame Street aims to teach children literacy through puppetry, repetition, and animated sequences. Elmo's World was a segment on Sesame Street that taught children the meaning of interpersonal connection through field interviews and production. Since its ending in 2004, Sesame Street had shifted toward hybrid content with animation and real-life characters. ​
Over the years, Sesame has shifted toward animated content with quicker pacing.
